Good book.

The book starts out with drum-to drum (solo) type patterns (in triplet form). On page 13 (to the end - page 44) it goes into coordination-type exercises (similar to the Jim Chapin book); however, it is written in 12/8 instead of 4/4. This makes the exercises visually more complicated. The work in the first 13 pages is good for new students (who understand eighth-note triplets), the rest of the book would be more appropriate for intermediate students.
Of course, like the Stone book, there are many ways to utilize the material - it seems drummers are always finding ways to amuse and improve themselves...me included!

Might be unnecessary

If you understand how to use Syncopation (the original book,)
you don't need this one. This book takes only a small part
of the the original book and "arranges" it for drum set.
A good drum teacher can show you how to apply many "routines"
to the original book that will yield much more material for
drum set study than you'll find in Syncopation #2.

a must to learn real timing, it is great for noy only drumming, Im also learning to play bass guitar and it has being really helpful to maintain timing
